Bus Stop Project
This project involved installing solar cells at a roof of a bus stop shelter. Participated bus stop stations are situated in front of the World Trade Centre (now Central World shopping complex), in front of Big C department store opposite to the World Trade Centre, in front of and opposite the Thai Police Hospital. Two types of solar cells which are polycrystalline and amorphorous were used. System installed at the shelter is composed of
1. Two solar cells panels on the roof of each shelter.
Capacity of crystalline and amorphous solar cells is 75 W and 43 W per panel, respectively.
2. Controller – controls efficiency during a storage of electric current generated to a baterry\
3. 125 Ah Battery – reserves electrical for later use and stores solar energy
4. LED and Fluorescent – provides lights during the night. They consumed energy from the battery.
5. Automatic on-off switch – switches on light when sunlight is unpresented and switches off light when there is a present of sunlight
